Can the Internet be archived?

In one word...AWESOME!

From the site:
The Internet Archive is building a digital library of Internet sites and other cultural artifacts in digital form. Like a paper library, we provide free access to researchers, historians, scholars, and the general public.

    Jamestown

Inspired by the culture questions I put on the Diploma Exam, I decided to learn more about Jamestown. A very nicely made and very educational National Geographic site.

I like the videos, especially the one with author Charles C Mann talking about the impact of colonization on the New World.

If you're in a playful mood, try the interactive Jamestown game.

    Larry Ferlazzo's edublog

I thought I was bad (actually I'm too busy to be bad...) ...

Anyway Larry seems to be doing what I'd like to do with this blog, namely use his blog to recommend different websites that students can use to learn cool things, like English. He's an English and Social Studies teacher at a high school in Sacremento, California.

He's obviously been doing this for quite some time.

    Check out Larry's website, too!

    This is his teachers' page.

    The Story of Race

Watch this short (8 minute) yet very informative movie about race in America and learn something about this topic. There's also a transcript you can open in another window if the speaker is too fast for you.
